I must admit upfront that I know very little about Randy Cunningham's political stance and if you do have unresolved issues with him that is your business and not mine. Where I do find a problem is in the fact that a person such as yourself has the audacity to mock something you know nothing about . . . .or do you? Did you serve in a war that haunts our nation to this very day? Did you ever tremble in fear at the enemy approaching, hoping only for a somewhat painless death? Did you believe that you were defending your nation only to come home and be spat upon? I hoped not to judge, but the manner in whch you expressed your feelings makes me realize one thing . . . you are a nobody just like me, but at least I am a nobody who understands that soldiers are on the receiving end of an order, and not policymakers. So go ahead and criticize his current political position and the ones who pointed Randy in the direction of Vietnam, but do not, and I repeat, do not belittle a simple soldier of the past who carried out his given orders and placed his life on the line (regardless of his convictions) so that a citizen like yourself could enjoy the fruits of freedom, your sweetest fruit being slander, as sick as it may be.
